CAMP DAVID OF THE OZARKS
First task was to put in a new electric line to hook up the emergency generator for times of power loss.
One of the Prairie Schooners that are used as bunk houses for some of the guests. Quite a new approach to housing.
The above pics are of some of the pieces of furthering the process on the new shower house. From installing water lines, to preparing ceiling material, to adding new beams above the entry doors. Cutting and fitting all the pieces was a daunting task.
Our mascots for the projects. These two were best of friends as they had the run of the place during our work time.
Bless the hearts of the MANY ladies that had a part in preparing quilts for the camp to present to each camper during the summer as memory gifts of their time at Camp David. It is incredible how special folks are as they made 375 quilts for distribution. Many volunteered to make one or more quilts as they heard of the effort going on and we had ladies contributing from all over the USA.
The very first group that came to camp after the quilts arrived each received their very own memory quilt to take home.
To the left are dress up dresses for the girl to wear for the special dinner at camp... our ladies organized the room for the summer and above our ladies are assisting with a mailing to folks that have a special place in their hearts for this ministry.
Our crew for this project. The Munsons, the Camerons, and the Steffens.
The hauling (transporting) of the quilts from St Louis to the camp was done with some of our team's vehicles and then stored in a nice warm/dry place for later distribution this summer.

One lady made 10 quilts that she embroidered this Bible verse on the back of each quilt.
