Home for the month. Town pop. 505. Great site for our parking.
The church. Much hail damage. Our first task was to replace the roof on the annex.
The pulpit on this church that was kept after it was closed as a Lutheran church and became a Community church.
A bunch of 70 year young VMMers removing the old damaged roof and replacing with new metal. Below is the replacement effort.
Removing and replacing the siding on this shed when it was too wet to be up on the church roof.
Removal and replacing the windows in the shed.
Sizes changed so altering the openings was just a part of the effort.
The Pastor"s house really took a hit from the hail. We removed the old roof material (both the old tar shingles and the old tin). Fitting the lift in this narrow space really helped in the removal process.
The men finished the walls in 2 rooms of the basement with OSB. The ladies primed and painted the walls and ceilings of both rooms.
The ladies made curtains for the basement windows. Donna & Tamara are showing them off.
Below are 10 quilts made by inmates from a prison in Missouri for the Camp David of the Ozarks quilt project. They made the quilt tops and we quilted and finished with the bindings.
